Last saturday we went an educational tour to colombo. we went by a private coach.There were sixty student and six teachers for this trip. we left kurunagala at about 6.30 am

MY PETS
My pets are cat and dog. cat name is Kitty.It is beautiful and very good .It catch a RAT and very small BIRD.Dog name is tommy. it is one years old. it is very small dog. my cat and dog play to every evening. I help them to play.Dog is very kind to cat. I think they love me and I love them.
A SHARAMADANA CAMPAIGN
Last firday there was a sharamadana compaign in my school. the purpose of the compaigh was to clean the school garden. All the student in grade six, seven and eight took part in this campaign. Thay had brough implements like mammontis, crow bars and spads. All students were divided in to several groups and each group was entrusted a differnt task. The garden was full of weeds. First all we pulled out all the weeds. we collected all the empty tins and coconut shlls that were scattered every where. we were able to complete the entire work by 2.00 p.m. the principal and the members of the staff thanked us for our participation
OUR ENVIRONMENT
The environment is the surrounding around us. water, air, trees, land and beings are the parts of the environment. Today environment pollution has become a major problem. people pollute the water by mixing poisonous chemicals and waste matter. Air is pollute by mixing smoke and poisonous gasses issued through the chimneys of large factories. Land is polluded by collecting garbage. people cut down trees in a careless manner. they never think of the badeffects of it. we get the most needed rain beause of it . we get the most needed rain becase of the trees. Trees help not only to the man but also to the animals. Birds build their nest on trees. Trees stop the soil erosion. let’s protect our environment
MY HOBBY
My hobby is garding. it is very useful hobby. it has many advantages. I have planted various kinds of fruits and vegetables in my garden. some of the fruits are guavA ,PINEAPPLE, pomegranate, wood apple, orange and mango. some of the vejetables are raddish, cucumber, brinjals, ladies fingers, drumsticks, wing beansand some green leaves like gotukola. I spend about two hours in my garden every morning. I pull out the weeds. I water and manure my vejetabls beds. I use artificical manure. It is a nice sight to see fruits trees laden with fruits. Birds and butterflies come to my garden. They make my garden beautiful. My father, mother and brother help me in my hobby. we can eat fresh fruits and vejetables because of my hobby. Also I can earn some money by selling them. i
